This caught my eye over at Montmartes sketchbook. The ‘Casual Object Garden and Other Material Matters’, a temporarily instellation by Carson Fisk-Vittori. I like the sublety and it made me think of the falling garden, just another interpetation on what a garden can look like.

There is not really a reason for a party over here (Holland lost the world cup yesterday against Spain and the whole country is dissapointed and sad) but I still love love love these beautiful garlands by Confetti System.

Every day is a day to be beautiful is this amazingly pretty shop / workspace by jewellery designer Charlotte Wooning. Everywhere you look is pure eye candy! The jewellery is displayed in antique and vintage suitcases, showcases, cabinets and cloches. I adore the little porcelain boxes Charlotte made in collaboration with Carola Zee (see first photos) Also the flower decoration I find beautiful.

The shop is filled with her own designs but also other dutch and foreign jewellery designers showcase their pieces like Martine Viergever and Hester Zagt from Rotterdam and Studio MHL from Amsterdam. Besides you can make an appointment with Charlotte to create a custom made piece of jewellery just for you. I will have a cute bracelet designed with a little star. Still a present for our 2 year anniversary!

Last winter I had a atelier sale here and already thought the place was beautifull but was not at all finished at the time. Now it is a true gem in Rotterdam and a must visit when you’re there! Check out opening times and more here.

The human size

This is just the perfect crockery. I could just only stare at it instead of spoiling the beauty by filling the plates and bowls with food. It is made by Digna Kosse. It was one of her projects called ‘the human size’. On every bowl, cup and dish an engravement is placed, that says which part of the body and which volume fit into it.

Sorbet coloured cups

I first saw these cups on a sample sale and instantly fell in love! I love the sorbet colours and the fact that the edge is glazed and the rest of the cup has a mat finish. The cups are all unique and are from ceramic designer Carola Zee.
