Sleeping in!

auping1We take turns on who is sleeping in in the weekends! Mette is an early bird and the weekend is no exception! Between 5.30 and 7 am it is time to ‘rise & shine’ is her opinion, preferably with a peanut butter sandwich. Last sunday it was my turn!auping 3 Because of busy times with Lennebelle Petites and being almost 20 weeks pregnant our bed is my favorite spot by far! With a fresh made bed with our new crispy white bed linen (a gift from Auping! so soft!), the sun shining in and a good breakfast  I enjoy it even more!

In a few months we will be sharing our bedroom with a little baby again. Hopefully I will spend much more time here by that time then I do now! Cuddling, feeding, singing, reading and lots of sleeping, I can’t wait! auping2(Auping Straight Stitch in white)

Another day at the beach

I06A2231Yesterday we had another perfect day at the beach. This time we ended up in Zandvoort. We were planning to go to ‘Buitenplaats de Plantage’ but it happened to be closed so we decided to go to Zandvoort and I am glad we did. It was so nice to watch all the kitesurfers and the big waves.

We had lunch at Ubuntu Beach, a really nice and relaxing spot with good food and a super nice swing which Mette loved. We will definitely come back here.

Ofcourse my love made beautiful photo’s for our family blog All Thing Nous, our online family photo album. He puts so much time and effort in All Things Nous. It is such a precious blog keeping all our fun, special and intimate family moments; through our eyes into our memories. I will show more outtakes of All Things Nous here.

Small summer beach break

ouddorp-10 We had a few perfect days last week in Ouddorp at the Dutch coast. The weather was perfect and it is always nice to have nothing else to do then spend time with your family! Joey made some really nice photo’s just before sunset on the beach.

We love the beach and we both know from our childhood how fun it is to be outdoors and near the sea a lot in weekends and holliday. Since we live in the city (close to the parc and with a nice roofterrace, lucky us) we really appreciate spending time in nature.

Our dream is to have a small shack, hut, cottage over here one day! I am collecting inspiration for our little love nest in nature over on my Pinterest.

She is getting so big!

Mette is now almost 1,5 year. She is the cutest, prettiest, smartest little creature I have ever seen, but of course I am her mamma. She makes me smile everyday. I love getting to know her better and better, love to see how she is turning into this little lady with a strong personality.

She loves to cuddle and to ‘nose rub’, she is always very impressed by the moon and everything that looks like the moon. She talks all day long and knows already so many words, so it starts to look like we are having real conversations. She adores my cuisine and eats everything but going to bed is a battle everytime. On our days together we jump on the cargo bike and l go to the zoo, play garden, farm, library, the parc.

I had always thought she would be a mini-me, but she is absolutely not but sometimes in a blink of an eye I see something so familiar it’s like I see a little bit of me in there! My mother heart is super strong and I am amazed how this gradually changes you, a shift in things that matter and and a big change in priorities.
