Everywhere you look around there are little shrines; in front of most houses, in guesthouses and shops. Most have small offerings like fruit, flowers and incense.
They are all so pretty!

I just watched the movie Julie & Julia! It got me totaly inspired! I love cooking but never seem to take really the time to do it. I love flipping through cookbooks, especially the ones with the mouthwatering photos in it!
My favourite is this cookbook by famous writer Roald Dahl! He loved to cook and to eat ofcourse. All the photos in the book look like still lifes. I read the whole book with nice anekdotes about family and friends and famous visiters eating at Dahls’ table and recipies from rosepetal sorbet to royal dog snacks (for real!). I never tried a recipe but will do this upcoming sunday! Something that needs to simmer for hours and hours on the stove!
I will make Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon and Roald Dahls‘ ‘Liccy’s (his wife) always succeeding crunchy roasted potatoe pie’ with it!
(take a look at Roald Dahls fun website, you can not but love Quinten Blakes illustrations! and watch these cooking lessons by the real Julia Child ‘The French Chef’)
These look so comfy! With these socks it is easy to survive the winter cold! The strange thing is,..they are pretty hard to find!
Weekly I go to sewingclasses at Het Naaicafe and it’s great. After a while you get the hang of it and can make just about anything (with a little help) This is the first season I can create my own wardrobe! Soon I will start with my birthday dress! I will show some of my creations soon!
I love Japanese styling and their taste. The Stylish Dress Book is a simple sewing book, you don’t need to read Japanese in order to understand the patterns. I found this book over at Pomadours’ Etsy shop where they also have lovely Japanese interior design books!
This summer we went on holiday in our own country and came across this antique markte in Middelburg! I love snooping around these markets to find myself a little treasure. This time I found this very cute pincushion from the 1920’s! I took some photos and love to learn more about photography in general.
This blog is addictive. Garanc Doré weblog; A fille comme moi, is all about fashion. She is a French fashion photographer / illustrator. I met her by accident last fashion week in Amsterdam at the Trash & Treasures where she was photographing for her exposition at dutch fotomuseum Foam. Unfortunaly I missed out on the expo so I just called to see if they could send me some work! Hopefull I can show some photos soon!
Get inspired by all the streetfashion in the big cities and fall in love with her girly illustrations!
