Sunday afternoon high tea picnic

This weekend I was lucky I got to go to Sophia’s (friend, soon businesspartner (!!) and fellowblogger) birthday (I was supposed to work) and as always it was lovely! In an empty room of the house where she lives we had a lovely sunday afternoon high tea picnic with home baked cheesecake, chocolatetart and scones, homemade soup, couscous salade and much more. And of course everything was styled so pretty. We were sitting on a huge selfmade picnic rug under handsewn garlands.
Check out her photos at Sobinique and photos from her house were recently published on Decor8!!

Studio IJm 2

Just a little bit more Studio IJm. I could not help myself. I had still so many photos left.
Besides all the pretty details in Studio IJm they also had a yummy and very cosy kitchen where ‘chef’ Marlein was making the perfect lunch with lettuce soup and later tea with ovenbaked cookies filled cranberries and plums. We totally got spoiled over there! Marlein also has a cookbook and I can understand why!

Studio IJm 1

Last week I went with friend and stylist Sophia van den Hoek to a photoshoot for a dutch magazine. The inspiration for this shoot came from a dutch painter Kees van Dongen and photos were taken by Miep Jukkema. I had never been to a photoshoot before and I just loved everything about this day.
The place where the shoot was taking place was at the truly inspirational IJm Studio in Amsterdam. I just could not stop getting my camera out to take pictures from all the details around us. In and around every corner there was something new to discover and I just loved the whole atmoshpere over there. Seeing the photos below you can imagine why!

Hometown beauties (Rotterdam, the Netherlands)

{ This post was featured earlier when I was guestblogging for ‘The Drifter and the Gypsy }
My hometown Rotterdam has a lot to offer when it comes to art, design, architecture and culture and it’s filled with creative people doing their thing! These are my favourite Rotterdam based designers! Martine Viergever (jewellery), Daisy Kroon (fashion) Carola Zee (ceramics) and Charlotte Wooning (jewellery).
Daisy Kroon recently also did a photoshoot with Sophia van den Hoek, check out Daisy’s website! Remember my dreamy photoshoot for Made by l e n n e b e l l e!

Made by l e n n e b e l l e impression

These photo’s are made by my friend Sohia who is a stylist and photographer and also did the photoshoot for Made by l e n n e b e l l e! Aren’t these pretty! This is at my small workspace at home.
First ‘for real’ photoshoot for Made by l e n n e b e l l e by Sophia van den Hoek (I am so proud!)

This photoshoot is special. It makes me feel special and gives a big cherry on top of the year 2009 cake! Starting out with my own business Made by l e n n e b e l l e (jewellery) last year, this is the first ‘for real’ photoshoot and it all gives it a very professional look & feel! All this thanks to Sophia van den Hoek (remember this name!) I love the image and romantic, soft touch!
Besides Sophia I am very gratefull for my friend and agent Jane Craig from Jane Agents. Without her Made by l e n n e b e l l e would not be for sale in several beautifull shops in the Netherlands! It feels like a kick start! And soon I got my first press exposure! How exciting is all of this! Much more to come this year!
Love to hear from you what you think about this shoot and my work! Check out the shop & site www.lennebelle.com.
